Part I: The Unreportables
In the world of health and safety, unreported decisions are the diamonds in the rough – hidden gems that reveal invaluable insights often overlooked by the surface.
WHAT IS THIS PARTICULAR SESSION ABOUT?
Get ready, because we're about to dive into a world where the truth isn't always where you think it is. In the shadows of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) arena, lies a treasure trove of insights that can make all the difference in the way organizations approach workplace safety. We've all heard the buzz about reported cases, but the real gems lie in the unreported shadows. These hidden revelations don't dance in the limelight, but they do hold secrets. Secrets that offer a richer understanding of the judicial landscape, and the ways in which organizations should be fine tuning their OH&S strategies and policies in response. The fine print might not make it to those fancy legal databases, but it's where the heart of understanding the game truly resides. We're here to unwrap those mysteries, to crack the code on real-world scenarios and the kind of interpretations that can save the day. So, gear up, because we're delving into the shadows, embracing the nuances, and forging a path that ensures the safety of your troops and the fortress of your reputation. Let's dive into the unreported, shall we?

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE THIS WEBINAR SERIES?
It's different. And we’re different. We aren't going to talk at you, pretend we know everything there is to know about you, your people, or your business, or try to convince you that a stock, recycled presentation is really going to address the issues that are important to you, as health and safety professionals, executives, business owners, and individuals. We understand the bigger picture. And that’s why we want to talk to you, get to know you, and work with you, to create an experience that will actually provide you with recognizable value. It’s why the first half of our sessions are committed to sharing our experience, and the latter half to engaging directly with you, and answering your questions.
By utilizing information and learning tools from a variety of disciplines, personalities, presentation styles, and formats, the series is designed to provide a unique, intense, and high impact learning experience that you won't get from other service providers.
With the facilitator's background as a former OH&S Crown Prosecutor, you’ll be privy to a unique perspective, insight, and tips (typically only shared with large institutional clients), that will enable you to truly understand the nuances that exist within the OH&S regulatory regime, and "how to" successfully navigate through them.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT TO WALK AWAY WITH?
In simple terms? The information that we wish you knew, before you or your organization need to retain us.
Unlike webinars of a more general focus, our topics have been specially selected to address what we see as key misunderstandings, shortcomings, and areas of concern, among health and safety professionals, supervisors, executives, and business owners. Our goal is to explore these issues with you, in an effort to minimize your individual and organizational exposure, by giving you the tools you need to critically assess your thought processes and work environments, before an incident takes place.
With a focus on providing real information and practical solutions to the questions, challenges, trends, and concerns employers and individuals are currently facing, the OH&S Professional Series goes beyond the basic "how to", to examine and incorporate the critical and (often overlooked) practical, day-to-day elements that are associated with the interpretation of legislation, risk management, due diligence, investigations, and incident response principles more generally.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:
As a former OH&S Crown Prosecutor, Christopher Spasoff is one of only a handful of lawyers with experience on both sides of the OH&S regulatory regime.
Often sought out for his practical, easy-to-understand advice and common sense approach to problem solving, Christopher left the Crown in May 2014 to establish F2 Legal Counsel, the first and only law firm in Alberta exclusively dedicated to the practice of occupational health and safety law. As an advisor to both employers and workers on a variety of OH&S issues, Christopher is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience whenever possible.
